01/02/2005: "its thriller night"
So last night it was decided to rent a couple movies, and as no one found anything they really wanted to see, the very important decision of what to get fell on my shoulders. (Cause everyone loves my taste in movies...psych). Anyhow, I ended up choosing two and we watched them both back to back. The first was a riveting thriller, Spellbound. It was pretty sweet, it was a documentary about 8 kids competing in the '99 National Spelling Bee championship. Ok, now I know what you're thinking...you're thinking if a group of the world's most brilliant people came together to design the most boring movie on the face of the planet, the likely result would be Spellbound. Everyone else was skeptical of the film choice as well. But it actually turned out to be a really good movie, and everyone liked it. It did actually have quite a bit of drama and thrilleresque suspense. My second choice was thirteen. That one was just ok, mostly because I felt ill through about 90% of it. It was basically about 2 girls living out every parent's nightmare, that there children would become sex objects, drug users and vulgar sass-mouths before the age of 14. Having a kid that age must be the scariest thing ever...Anyway, this long winded post is just basically to prove what a great movie picker I am, and everyone should think I'm fantastic. Have a good day!
