12/25/2004: "christmas at sea"

Saw the Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou today with my parents. I had waited about 6 months to see the movie, I really like and wait for the Wes Anderson films. It was a cool movie, but probably my least favorite of his films. I chalk it up to the fact that Owen Wilson didn't cowrite the script, as he had for the other Anderson projects. The soundtrack was very interesting, as most of it were foreign language interpretations of David Bowie songs. One of the few non-Bowie tracks was one of my favorite Sigur Ros tracks, Staralfur from Agaetis Byrjun. Its kind of a spoiler to say when the track is used, but I must say it works perfectly. So now I've begun my quest to find/make a pair of the Team Zissou Adidas they are (to quote Napoleon Dynamite) "flippin sweet".
